WALNUT HILLS LIVING MURAL

CINCINNATI, OH- 2021

This project was a collaborative effort with Artworks, The Walnut Hills Redevelopment Found, and Urban Blooms. Artworks selected the perfect artist for the vision, April Sunami of Columbus Ohio. April worked closely with Tyler Wolf, both in-person and virtually, to explore the capabilities of the Urban Blooms Living Wall system and determine how best to integrate it into her mural design.

This installation marks Urban Blooms’ third large-scale living mural, continuing our mission to push boundaries of what’s possible with living walls and biophilic design. Located in the vibrant Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, this piece celebrates the diversity and creativity of the community.

Four unique, curved, and flowing living walls are seamlessly integrated into the mural, creating a stunning fusion of art and nature. Covered in over 25 plant varieties, the walls are arranged to form bold, colorful patterns that echo the energy of the mural itself.
